Spoiler from the FLOWER COSMOS collection / laminated offset print on 350g GalerieArt Silk paper. One pack contains a spoiler with loader and 3 clips - ready to use.

  • Art Photographer Mike A. Fischer is in his series ‘FLOWER COSMOS’ definitely inspired by the masters of the Renaissance and their lavish Still Lifes with beautiful flowers. But at the same time he seems to be deconstructing not only the composition and harmony of the Still Life but even the flower itself. The once hidden symbolic layer of decay – the concept of ‘Memento Mori’ – is brought on stage as an active and disruptive force. Gravity is gone, the sunlight is hidden and life seems to be struggling with death just before our eyes.

By using the technology from modern high velocity film recordings and by merging layers and applying filters Mike A. Fischer manages to reveal a dark and mysterious micro cosmos beyond time and place. It is as if he through his camera lens is able to stop time and zoom in until the breathtaking point where the flower turns into the endless universe that surrounds us. Pollen dust becomes interstellar mist formations and myriads of floating stars. The circle is closed – the universal law of entropy governing the aging of the universe is the same law that governs the lifespan of a flower.
